As part of my ongoing commitment to the environment; I intend keeping election literature and posters to an absolute minimum.

In today’s digital age, news spreads fast, and there is absolutely no need to have this beautiful area covered with huge amounts of election posters.

So I’d really appreciate your help to generate support for my election campaign via my new (soon to be launched) website, social media and good old fashioned word of mouth.

I know it has been the norm to cover our towns, villages and countryside with election posters pre-election; but I am committed to reducing the amount of literature that goes out on my behalf.

I intend to reduce the expected amount of campaign material by half and all the posters I put up will be taken down promptly and will be upcycled to be used in various Shed projects like building compost bins, workshop signage and raised flower bed liners etc.

I will also make sure that any cable ties that are used to secure the posters are removed from poles as well, as they are not just unsightly but dangerous for birds and wildlife.

There really is an unnecessary amount of plastic waste and litter generated by election posters, and although I will have a small amount of posters printed, I believe that my election team are trying to lead by example, and if elected on the 2nd May(fingers crossed)I endeavour not to use posters in future elections.

I am committed to protecting our environment and I am committed to leading by example.

Talk is cheap, but our environment is priceless.
